Mixing Procedure:

  1. Add Deionized Water, Glycerin and #17114 Xirona® Magic Mauve to the main tank with regular mixing.
  2. With fast mixing, add Carbomer® 980 polymer to the main tank. Ensure the batch is uniform and begin heating batch to 75-80ºC (167-176ºF).
  3. In an auxiliary tank, add Brij™ C20-SO, Brij™ S721, NEOBEE® M-5 COSMETIC, WECOBEE® M, STEPAN-MILD® GCC, Cetearyl Alcohol and Cetyl Alcohol with regular mixing and begin heating to 75-80ºC (167-176ºF).
  4. When both the main tank and auxiliary tanks are at 75-80ºC (167-176ºF), add the contents of the phase 3 from the auxiliary tank to the content of the main tank (phase 1 & 2) with fast mixing.
  5. When uniform, homogenize the batch at 5100 rpm for 1 min/kg. Transfer back to propeller mixing and begin cooling batch to less than 40ºC (104ºF).
  6. When the batch is less than 40ºC, add Microcare® BDB and fragrance to the batch with regular mixing until batch is uniform.
  7. Use Citric Acid and Sodium Hydroxide to adjust batch pH as needed (using diluted solutions or granules).

*Note: The INCI name for Microcare® BDB from Thor is: Benzyl Alcohol (and) Dehydroacetic Acid (and) Benzoic Acid.
