Mixing Procedure:

Charge Deionized Water to the main vessel and begin regular mixing.
Slowly add Aristoflex® AVC to the main vessel with fast mixing. Continue mixing until the polymer is completely dispersed, with no lumps and then begin heating batch to 73-77ºC (163-171ºF). Hold at temperature with mixing for emulsification.
In an auxiliary vessel, combine phase 3 items and begin heating to 73-77ºC (163-171ºF) then hold at temperature for emulsification.
Once the main and auxiliary vessels are at 73-77ºC (163-171ºF), add the contents of the auxiliary vessel to the main vessel with fast mixing until uniform. Once uniform, homogenize the batch at a rate of 5,100 rpm for 1 minute/kg. Then transfer back to propeller mixing and begin cooling the batch to <40ºC (<104ºF) with regular mixing.
Once the batch has cooled to <40ºC (<104ºF), add Phase 4 ingredients to the main vessel with regular mixing.
The pH of the formulation can be adjusted to target 5.5, by adding Citric Acid (as granules or a dilute solution) to decrease the pH, or Sodium Hydroxide as (as granules or a dilute solution) to decrease the pH.
