• Dispersants - Polymeric dispersants play a vital role in the smooth processing formulation stability and coating performance of FS formulations. They are also used in combination with co-dispersants to address a common issue of FS formulations – crystal growth upon storage.  


• Wetting Agents and Co-dispersants - Wetting agents are commonly used in FS formulations to avoid flocculation and viscosity build-up during the milling process. They are easily absorbed onto the freshly generated non-polar active surfaces during the milling process. Because wetting agents also improve dispersion properties, they are also considered co-dispersants. They are mostly ethylene oxide/propylene oxide (EO/PO) block copolymers, but in some instances only ethoxylates are used.
